The library will be staffed the week of December 16th and available to provide support if you are not able to access a particular resource. If you reach out to the library for help, please include as much detail as possible about the resource you are trying to access. If you encounter any sort of error, please let us know what it says and send along the URL for the page as well. We will investigate and respond as soon as possible.
We will also post updates about known issues and any possible workarounds on the library site.
Most database links should work in our ‘Journals, Books and Databases’ list. However, if you are experiencing an issue, you can connect to the public page of the following databases and utilize the institutional log-in feature to access Fielding’s subscriptions:
Psychoanalytic Electronic Publishing (choose the federated/OpenAthens login option)
Each interface is different, but once connected to the database, look for a ‘log-in’ link near the top of the screen. Choose to log in through your institution and select Fielding. You will be prompted to enter your Fielding email address and password, then should be connected. Please note that if you already have an active session, you might bypass the login step after selecting your institution.
While we expect these links to work, there could be a delay of a day or two for links from some vendors to properly route through OpenAthens or unforeseen issues. We won’t know if this is the case until we go live on December 16th.
If a link is not working properly, please feel free to contact us so we can help with troubleshooting. Please provide as much detail as possible so we can attempt to access the work and provide guidance.
If you are having an issue when a librarian is unavailable to assist, click on the 'Common Questions' tab on the library site and view the 'Link Not Working' video which has common suggestions. If that workaround does not work, please contact us and we will respond as soon as we are available.
We will post information about known issues on the library site as well.
