There are times when you will attempt to access a resource and see a message from OpenAthens that says "Sorry, access to this resource has been restricted." Please note, even though the message is personalized, it does not mean that your individual access is any way restricted. Read below for the reasons/fixes if you see the message.
Reasons and solutions when you see this message:
1. You are trying to access a resource that is not included in our subscriptions. If you found the link in the library, please email us for help. Be sure to include all details about the work and the URL of the error page. If you found the link online, chances are we don't have access at all, or at least not through that database. You can see if we have access via another database by searching for the article in FASTsearch. If not, you can request it through interlibrary loan.
2. You found a resource online and the connection to our collection is not working properly. You can double-check by coming back to the library and searching for the item in FASTsearch. You can also reach out to us for help and we can determine if it should be accessible.
