Information on our digital book platforms and how to use them.

Introduction

EBL, or Ebooks Library, is an interdisciplinary databases of scholarly electronic books.  Eventually, ebrary and EBL will be combined into one platform, but at the present time, please consult the following guidelines for using this resource.

System Requirements:

The EBL patron interface and online reader is designed to work across all operating systems (OS) including Linux, and popular web browsers including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Safari. When possible, users are encouraged to have the most recent OS updates and browser versions installed. 

Adobe Reader is required to print, copy or view as PDF in the EBL Online Reader.

Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) is required to download ebooks for offline reading.

Authentication:

Each individual user is required to authenticate by providing their institutional ID and password, or EBL patron login information, when first accessing an EBL ebook whether they are on-site or off-site.

Access:

EBL titles can be downloaded or transferred to any device that supports Adobe Digital Editions or the free Bluefire Reader app. This includes the iPhone, iPad, Kindle Fire, Android devices and most ebook readers.
